SEPTEMBER 11, 2023:

SPOT SHRIMP FISHERY: Due to the potential conflict with salmon fisheries, participants previously registered for the shrimp mop up fishery that have yet to harvest may complete their 200 pound per vessel quota NO LATER than September 15, 2023 at 7:00pm. Contact fisheries with any questions.

ALL OTHER AREAS ARE CLOSED FOR SPOT SHRIMP.

 

NON SPOT SHRIMP:

Region 1: Subareas 1A opened at 8:00am Friday, May 12, 2023 and will close at 5:00pm Sunday, October 15, 2023, or when the treaty harvest share is taken. Subareas 1B and 1C are currently closed. A maximum fishing depth restriction of 175 feet will be in effect for subarea 1A. Gearr limit of 100 pots per vessel.

Region 2: Closed for all harvest

Region 3: Catch areas 23A, 23B, and 25A opened at 6:00am Monday, May 1, 2023 and will close at 5:00pm Sunday, October 15, 2023, or when the treaty harvest share is taken. A maximum fishing depth restriction of 175 feet will be in effect for catch area 23A and all subareas therein. Gear limit of 100 pots per vessel.

 

CATCH ACCOUNTING: All harvest must recorded with the Swinomish Fisheries Department within 24 hours.
