SWINOMISH SHELLFISH HARVEST REPORTMonthly PSP sampling of shellfish at LONE TREE POINT is now being done by the Swinomish Fisheries department. They can be contacted at (360) 466-7313 for the latest results. Swinomish Tribal Members may conduct Subsistence Harvesting on Reservation when beaches are indicated as OPEN and have a valid Ceremonial and Subsistence Shellfish Harvesting Permit from the Swinomish Fisheries Department. |

BURN BAN STATUSJune 15, 2024 - 8am Burn Ban in EffectA Tier 1 Burn Ban is in effect. No open burning is allowed. No slash burning is allowed. No burn permits will be issued during the burn ban. Cooking and recreational fires are still allowed, provided they are less than four feet in diamerter and 3 feet in height, and are contained in a fire ring, barbeque, or similar structure. These fires must also be at least 5 feet away from any existing structure or woody vegetation, and they must be attended at all times. Cultural/Spiritual fires are exempt. Contact klarson@swinomish.nsn.us if you need a letter for proof of exemption. |
